On this tour, you'll discover what years of post-war immigration have brought to the German capital and learn about how the so-called Turkish ‘guest workers’ invented Germany’s most beloved street food in Berlin. 

After that, it’s off to one of Berlin's most beautiful neighborhoods. 'Prenzlberg', as the locals call it, remained largely untroubled by the Second World War, and a lot of the buildings have been renovated in their original style since the wall came down. 

Together with your guide, you'll explore how this former working-class neighbourhood has become so trendy and how Berliners deal with the gentrification process in general. With your small tour group of max. 15 participants, you’ll also have plenty of time to ask your guide any and all questions about Berlin. 

The tour ends in a typical German 'Beer garden' close to one of Berlin’s most interesting parks, the Mauerpark.

Where does the tour begin?
The tour starts outside Starbucks opposite Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station. Please be there 15 minutes before the tour starts. 

Where does the tour end?
The tour ends in a beer garden close to Mauerpark. 

How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts 3.5 hours.
